About Us

A Family Business Built on Trust

Our story is one rooted in tradition, craftsmanship and family values. Plumbing and bathrooms is a family skillset which has been handed down which created Newport Bathroom Centre, which operates from George Street Furnitures, a trusted local institution that has been trading for over 70 years. Following this legacy of trust and reliability, David has been based within George Street Furnitures in Newport since 2004, bringing his expertise to homes across South Wales.

David has more than 30 years of hands-on construction, plumbing and bathroom renovation experience and a NEBS management diploma. From designing stylish spaces to ensuring smooth installations, his background ensures every customer receives personalised attention and results they’ll love. Over the years, David’s professional ethos has consistently been about doing things right, focusing on quality and customer satisfaction. This has stemmed from the hard work and dedication that his Mum and Dad once brought to this business for many years. David’s Mum managed the accounts and David’s Dad was a plumbing and heating engineer, both played vital roles in shaping the business to achieve what it’s achieved today.

The next generation, Josh, David’s son, adds to this tradition of excellence. Josh is set to begin a carpentry apprenticeship in September after spending his weekends and summer holidays working in the showroom, learning new skills in preparation. He represents the future of our business, bringing fresh energy and a passion for the family trade. And if you follow us on social media, you’ll no doubt recognise Luna, the family’s playful and friendly puppy, who’s often around to greet visitors with a wagging tail.
